The EPC4SES project aims to use data from the creation of energy performance certificates for the creation of digital twins. EPC4SES Partners represent five countries – Austria, Germany, Norway, and Spain. Our flyer may be downloaded here
The questionnaire is structured into the application segment regional planning heat, one part for the the operation of heat related applications, and one for the application field power, which might be filled in alone.
Digital twins use the building component characteristics, eventually measured values like meters or wall temperatures or assumed user behaviour to predict the energy demand of buildings. Thus data acquired during the process of getting the energy label is used saving energy or allowing use of renewable energy, when dimensioning the energy system or operating it.
In the following questionnaire we would like to ask you to help us to evaluate applications for digital twins and to find new ones that will work with data from the energy labeling process. But the building data may also be used for strategic decison taking, involving the erection of networks or the regional planning for renewable energy.
The project has taken up speed, also since new papers already include EPC as data source.
Within the project EPC4SES, we would like to know about your situation and expectation, before specifying tools for supporting the use of EPC data for digital twins of buildings.
If you want giving feed-back on a tool which is allowing to calculate the energy efficiency and allows us to use the building data, please visit this Link (in German only) Thank you.
